Prerequisites: Previous experience configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP v4. Cisco CCNA, JNCIA-JUNOS or equivalent is recommended.  

Audience: Technicians, designers, provisioners, tier 2/3 help desk, network engineers that need an advanced understanding of IPv6 networks. 

Objectives: Upon successful completion students will be able to:
  • Understand the need for IPv6 and its planned implementation
  • Understand IPv6 terminology, differences from IPv4
  • Understand IPv6 on Windows XP, 7, and Linux OS in the LAN
  • Understand Neighbor Discovery and Autoconfiguration
  • Configure IPv6 DNS and DHCP
  • Configure OSPFv3 for IPv6 on Cisco and Juniper Routers
  • Configure BGP for IPv6
  • Configure IPv4 - IPv6 route redistribution
  • Implement IPv6 inside IPv4 Tunnels
  • Implement IPv6 Access Lists
